Robert Anderson Visual Artist

I always loved to doodle and sketch as far back as I can remember. In grade 10, I won first place for a Christmas Card art competition and got my first job at 13 years old at a t-shirt airbrushing/silk screening shop  I received 1st place in 1991 in a art competition for The Calgary Stampede and received a 500 dollar scholarship.  Medicine Hat was close by, and that is where I got my first serious art commission and was picked to be one of many artist to paint one of the story boards (#4) on the World Tallest Teepee.  I have always tried to dabble in different mediums in art since then, and continue to take on any challenge offered to me.  I  love working with other talented like minded artists, and being part of ideas that are unique and challenging in many different mediums.

Front Porch Roots Revue Soundtrack

Front Porch Roots Revue started out on this journey as a collaboration of musicians called together by our producer, Peter North. Pete had a vision for a show about the music of the Band. Seven musicians rehearsed and presented a show called “Up On Cripple Creek”. The show was a runaway hit and we toured it throughout western Canada for the past 4 years. In the midst of our rehearsals and preparations for these shows, four of the core members, Thom Moon, Gord Matthews, David (Crawdad) Cantera and Ron Rault, developed a close friendship, based on a mutual respect for each other’s musicianship. SUGAR CUBE is the second recording by The Front Porch Roots Revue
